Located in Cameron County, Pennsylvania, Sizerville's history begins in the late 1700's. Previously known as Prestonville, the Village of Sizerville (sometimes spelled Siserville) was sometimes referred to as “the capital of the district”. Sizerville's industries have included (amongst others) a salt works, a sawmill, the Sizer Mineral Spring Hotel, two train stations, the Sizer Magnetic Mineral Water bottling plant and bath house as well W. R. Sizer's store. In the 1930's Sizerville was the site of one of Pennsylvania's Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps. Today, Sizerville is known for the Sizerville State Park.
